Yearly Plot Rentals to Grow Your Own Organic Food
Now Available: 10,000 square foot plots for 'Grow Your Own' Organic farming.
This year's price: $500 per plot, per year.
Ideal for large families, Co-ops, entrepreneurs, CSA's (community supported agriculture), independent businessmen, green grocers, florists, school clubs and ecology classes, other groups and organizations, gardening zealots, etc.
We expect our farm to be of particular interest to those of you who live in Westchester County and the New York City Boroughs.
While the residents of the upper counties have ample land to grow their own produce, those of you in the lower counties are strapped for usable space, and when you do have the space, you must deal with non-organic contamination from neighbors.
We offer you an opportunity to grow fresh, wholesome, natural food at a reasonable price.
Large 100' by 100' plots on fertile farmland enable you to produce voluminous crops of fruits, vegetables and flowers.
If it's legal you can grow it here.
All participants must use Organic Growing practices in compliance with the USDA/NOP certification requirements.
Temporary structures such as hoop houses, greenhouses and sheds for tools are permitted to facilitate your production.
Here are the General Rules and Regulations of our farm:
So that there is no question in the future about the rules you must follow on our farm, we are posting most of them here, for easy reference. Here's What You Can Do:
1) Grow any and all, non-invasive plants or fungi allowed by law, whether for food, foliage or decoration. There is a zero drug cultivation policy enforced. Plots are subject to inspection by law enforcement officers and to their legal jurisdiction
2) Operate a hive or hives for bees. Such hives however, must be placed in the center of your plot.
3) Erect a non permanent greenhouse type structure, provided that is it sufficiently durable and anchored , and that it remains wholly within your designated space. Ties, ropes and other structure supports must also be within your boundary lines.
4) Erect a non permanent shed for tools or equipment.
Here's What You Cannot Do:
these things are Prohibited;

No dirt bikes, non-electric all terrain vehicles or non-electric golf carts are allowed. We are sorry, but because this is an organic farm, and because all animals on it must be fed organic food, with no use of drugs or unapproved medicines, your pets will not be allowed. Since no one can possibly catch every bit of excrement (solid or liquid) from their pet animal, and that their excreta cannot be proven to be non-organic, we cannot permit them.
